Choosing quality over quantity
Deciding on who should be part of your bridal party is one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning. It can also be one of the most stressful.
Generally, you should focus on those who are nearest and dearest to you, and then consider how each one will be able to deliver on their responsibilities. Remember that while asking someone to be in your bridal party will be considered a great honour, you’re also often asking these people to spend quite a bit of extra money as well as put in the time and effort that their particular role may require.
Deciding who to choose can be really hard when you have several very close friends or a large extended family. But choosing your bridal party shouldn’t be based on feelings of guilt or obligation (“she asked me so I’d better ask her”). It’s best to focus on close contacts rather than acquaintances, and remember that on the big day, you’ll be spending a lot of time with this intimate group of people.
